It has been an exciting and challenging year at Friedman Iverson. It was just over a year ago that David Friedman packed up his Brooklyn apartment and moved into a south Minneapolis duplex sight unseen.
Within a month of his arrival, he proposed to his girlfriend Rose Daniels. In July, David and Rose were married in St. Paul, among friends and family who wondered what the hell they were doing in Minnesota. In October, the happy couple bought a house in Northeast Minneapolis. It’s probably safe to say they’re planting firm Minnesota roots.
Blake’s year was only slightly less exciting. He was thrilled to have David come to town and whip his practice into fighting shape. He saw lots of great live music, traveled around the country and worked on a friend’s successful campaign for State Representative. In September, he left his cozy digs in the Wedge for a beautiful carriage house with a view of the Walker and the downtown skyline.
We moved into our office on East Lake Street in January. We share an office where we sit across a round table from each other. Sometimes we want to kill each other, but we can usually resolve our disagreements with a game of paper football. Together we’ve tackled tricky and interesting matters for our consumer and entertainment clients. Just this month we hired our first support staff, the brilliant and charming Laney Ohmans. We are thrilled to have Laney on board and we’re positive our clients will love working with her.
We know that many of our friends, family and clients continue to struggle in this economy. We vow to keep fighting for our clients in any way we can. It brings us great joy to help people make positive changes in their lives. We’re lucky to know each and every one of you. We wish you and your family a joyous holiday season and a healthy and prosperous 2011.
